Dufton Show field, Cumbria
5 miles /1509ft
A fellow runner described the race as a combination of a cross country and fell race. It was fast running, muddy sections, a cow joining the route, steep climb and scrambling up the back of Dufton Pike and a great grassy descent. Good weather and the first time I have had muddy legs this summer!
I just missed out on 2nd F50 and a fiver. An enjoyable low key race which attracted some speedy runners. The race is free but the entry to the show is £7 with concessions for children and pensioners. A race I would definitely do again and in a nice part of Cumbria.
